Merophie Carr
Director

Merophie works as a director/devisor and performer of independent theatre, and is currently a sessional Theatre-Making teacher at Victoria University of Technology and Victoria University.

Her directing highlights include:
> The Concert for comedy group The Business. Melbourne Fringe 2002, Melbourne Comedy Festival 2003, nominated for a Barry Award, winner of British Council Foreign Exchange Award, season at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh Festival 2003, Peacock Theatre Hobart 2004, Fuel Festival, New Zealand 2004, Regional Victorian Tour 2005, season at Artshouse 2007.
> Die Roten Punkte a comic musical duo - Melbourne Comedy Festivals 2006 and 2007, Melbourne Fringe 2007, Adelaide Fringe 2006 and 2007 and a tour of Canadian Fringe Festivals in 2007 and 2008.
> The Town Bikes Present The Meat Show performed at The Famous Spiegeltent 2007 and Adelaide Fringe 2008.
> Various community theatre projects for Polyglot Puppet Theatre.

Merophie was the winner of the 2004 Ewa Czajor Memorial Award for Female Theatre Directors. This award funded a season of The Corridor at Dancehouse 2006, performed by David Wells.
